Founded in 1970, Brown Metals Company specializes in supplying custom-slit and coiled thin gauge stainless steel and high temperature alloys.

Owner-managed since it's inception, Brown Metals takes extreme pride in the depth of expertise evident throughout the company. From skilled slitter operators, warehouse staff and delivery crews, Brown Metals employees are trained and qualified experts in thin gauge stainless steel coil products.

As an authorized distributor for several U.S. based manufacturers, Brown Metals can furnish production-size quantities with custom order specifications. Buying directly from the mills eliminates brokering and allows Brown Metals to provide customers with the most competitive prices on the highest quality materials.

With the largest inventory of thin gauge stainless steel coil product on the West Coast - more than a million pounds at all times - Brown Metals is able to turn orders around fast and accurately. Customers can depend on the fact that all products listed are in stock and ready for shipment.

At Brown Metals, every order, regardless of size, is appreciated; from requests for less than a pound to those in excess of 10 tons. Brown Metals excels at meeting each individual customer's spec for coil and sheet dimensons, tolerances, packaging, and other special requirements. Specially engineered slitters and shears allow precise slitting and shearing of materials from .0005" to .035" thick in widths from .020" to 36" with tight tolerances of ± .001".

Brown Metals thin gauge coil products are used in a wide variety of applications in nearly every major industry including: aerospace, agriculture, automotive, aftermarket, bio-tech, electronics, equipment manufacturing, food processing, medical manufacturing, petro-chemical processing and more.

All orders are filled to meet precise customer specifications. Complete physical and chemical test reports, or certificates of compliance, are provided with every order. Direct delivery for most orders is available throughout Southern California.

"Today our commitment to our customers is the same as the day we opened the doors: service, dependability, and consistent quality."
