As a distributor, Brown Metals Company does not manufacture the products we sell. Most compliance requirements are the responsibility of the manufacturing mill. Due to the large volume of compliance requests, manufacturing mills offer statements of compliance as opposed to completing individual surveys or forms. These statements are listed below. The cold rolled product shown on the Brown Metals Company Certificate of Test / Conformance does not present an inhalation, ingestion, or contact hazard in the form sold. However, operations to the material such as burning, welding, sanding, brazing and grinding may result in fumes that can cause irritations. It is the users responsibility to make sure that proper safeguards are provided for their employees such as: Gloves, eye protection, protective clothing, respiratory protection, proper ventilation, and any welding requirements.
